I LOVED U CAIRO!! but by by and shukran!

i dont know if i could explain the feelings that i got when i first saw the pyramids . i got tears, it felt like i was seeing friend who had been away for too long. a strange and beautiful sad feeling. the pyramids are so much bigger than i had imagined and the sphinx is so much smaller!
i am so glad that i used a guide and a camel, a horse just would not have been the same. the guide, ali, was great very informative and respectful and he took wonderful pictures of me with my camera. use him if you go and you will be happy, his english is very good.
being on the camel gave me a great view without getting sand in my shoe. it also keeps you away from the crowd. this is a great time to travel here as there arent alot of crowds.
after the pyramids i went on a short boat ride on the nile... so yeah i can say that i have been in 'de nile'!
today i went to the egyptian museum. that is an experience that everyone should have. seeing those 3000 year old objects that we all looked atin books in schoolnin real life..all that gold and it just makes me wonder. they were so advanced then, hinges on things and not to mention the entire mummy thing. they are some creepy looking seniors.
my driver, rabia, met me at the airport and was amazing. he took me to the pyramids and all through downtown and the cemetary where people live, he knows all the buildings and history. he was smart fun and resectful. i am greatful.
the only thing that they really need to learn here is how to drive...and que to i guess. they are so pushy, the worst i have ever seen and this polite canadian might still be waiting to get off the plane if locals didnt help me along. and they really do, they see other ppl getting in front of you and they tell you to tighten up even if they arent in your line, cuz if there is a hole even a little one, a person or a car will try to fit in. that really is how they drive here. i dont know why they bother to paint lines on the roads...no one uses them. they just drive where ever they think they might fit....honking their horn all the time!!
