hello, i am sorry to those of you who have written asking dor more pics. i cannot seem to access the internet with my laptop here, i had the same problem in cairo and a man fixed it, i cannot find that man here!
but if there were pics...ahh they would be beautiful. i arrived here in DAHAB 4 nights ago. i was still weak from my sickmess so i spent the 1st 2 days doing nothing. then i went snorkeling at a place called the ISLANDS.
wow what a place, it is comprised of 3 underwater coral islands. you acess it from the beach and when you snorkel up to it, it is like the world just opens up! the colours and fish, the coral just dropes off maybe 10 meters. i cant explain it but it is beautiful and so easy to get to. i will be returning soon.
yesterday i did the big one. i went to the BLUE HOLE. i have always wanted to see a blue hole, there is one in BELIZE but you have to take a 3 hour boat ride to it and it cost alot and i was told it was not a good snorkel place. this BLUE HOLE is world famous, and not just fot the divers it eats every year!
it is a short drive form DAHAB and once you get there you simply done your snorkel gear and slip in. snorkel gear is provided for thoses who dont have their own and there are a few cafes to sit at before during and after.
i was with a canadian couple and a young man aussie. i went it first and was instantly floored! there are walls of coral and then it dropps off. i dont know how deep but it can makes you dizzy looking at it. the fish and coral are amazing. and as you let the current take you along....there is magic.
