been holed up in the hotel for 5 days.

yeah i have been sick, i guess i just went too fast of ate the wrong thing....i am mended now and more new fun stuff will show up soon!! ahh the adventures of travel here, i can still stop traffic... but not if i am trying to cross the road. that is such a scarey challenge here. today i told the driver how we have rules for car exhast polution. he said they should do that here, we both paused and laughed. i told him only camels would be on the roads here then! they are a fun people if you have a chance the women are mostly very shy, more so than any latin american. and the men...well they are men! the younger more modern women are alot of fun with alot to say. i think that things are gonna be okay for them. change is very slow. the weather too has changed for the better, most of the time i was sick it was very stormy with high winds of the raging mediterranean sea. and thunder and lightning! i love that stuff, i could watch the sea from my balconey and it tossed around angrily. even in my fevered state it was a treat as i had never seen it before. wouldnt it be great to touch every ocean and sea in the world? i should start keeping track as the red sea is tomorrow!!
when i first arrived in egypt, in the early morning even before it was light out, i heard the chanting prayer of the men, it made me feel good as it has in different places in the world. knowing that the buddist monks in myanmar are chanting for a better world...well that is just a nice thing. same as listening to the singing from an old church in the cook islands. nothing wrong with knowing that people are praying for a better world! then i had the cab ride to this hotel. with his really bad really loud chanting speakers placed behind my head of his incredibly stinky with fresh gas car(yes i guess i huffed gas now too, cross that off my list of 'to dos'!). while he chain smoked (he offered me one so i guess it isnt rude!) omg! i can no longer hear the chanting with that good feeling. althoug here, it comes blasting into my room from outside through a really bad loud speaker....i guess i get flashbacks...do you get flashbacks from huffing gas? lol!
