cuba blows my mind!!

hello, i havent been able to get wireless intenet to publish my pics but i will in a few days when i return to havana. i am currently at the other end of cuba in santiago de cuba. i arrived after a 14 hour bus trip from hell! yeah we broke down and all the fun, i was so ill by the time i got here. but then i checked into my hotel and opened my window from the 4th floor and saw that it over looks the square witha 5oo year old church.....ok it was hard to stay ill and bitchy. i am yet to check out this city but i have 2 days! i arrivred here from TINIDAD, a colonial city that i was told was beautiful. i didnt find much to my liking and i was aproached by dozens of ppl to buy cigars. very funny because in the tourist heart of havana i had 3 ppl ask, that was it! i think that TRINIDAD had its day and now the touts are everywhere and the town is just filled with dog shit and tourist stalls. on my way to the bus my taxi went past 2 dogs doing it. we tried to be mature but we both cracked up!! i said buenas dias and he said bueno manana! at any rate, the bus trip was ok for the first 6 hours, i really think that i have a6 hour limit on busses, i need to remember that. i am flying back to havana.
i have so much stuff on my laptop that i cant get to here. sad. i hate repeating myself. so suffice it to say that this is a wonderful country but it isnt cheap either. there are some things that are very different from central america. like the bus, in central america when you get to bus stops there are always ppl selling things, like fruit and food. there there is nothing, and not even store to buy anything. we were very hungry and thirsty by the time we arrived here, and then i ended up in an illegle taxi. with 2 big men...i reallized that i should have thought about it when we had to walk so far for the gar. an old 1950s thing. then they stopped a block from my hotel to drop me off. ok so it was ok, i tild them that i was meeting my sisiter at the hotel, just in case. but i think the fear was all in my head, too many movies.
okay i am gonna go and check this city out, i may write afain before i leave. hope that all iswell!!
